Emma if you are looking at this please understand that this is only my 3rd attempt at a human portrait since 9th grade......ummmmm.....so its been awhile I promise to practice and try again.

dont be jealous your works awesome Im just a bit older and have been drawing my whole life....I was in 1st grade and my friends were asking me to draw cartoons for them. mostly mickey mouse and taz.....but still. As long as you like to draw and make an attempt you will get better and better....I also happen to have a mentor at work who checks out my work and tells me how to improve the next one so Im really lucky. hows the new group pic going???? Oh hey I was considering doing a comicthing with them as heros or something maybe you can help me with that Im good at comics and am currently trying to figure out a story to go with the pix or something like that what do you think

Hey Kara how on earth do you take on a group shot...I mean Im looking at a pic and feeling very overwhelmed...I am just not sure where to start...do you do a basic outline of all people or do you start with a person then add to them????

well, im still in progress of my remake,
but really all im doing on this one,
is drawing the outline, and getting the placement right,
then i go in and make the outline accurate,
its taking me forever... but its turning out better then my first.

thats awesome I am really lost on the group shot so I started another pic but this ones in black and white. My daughter is a huge fan of Anne Hathaway and I found a good pic so Im making the attempt I havent added color to anyof my drawings do you do any in color and what type of medium do you use? Sorry bout all the ?sss Im just brainstorming my mentor gives me lots of ideas but new ones are always good.

i have to get it done before school, or ill never get it done..!
....ill have it up really really soon, maybe not today,
but sometime this weekend.

just on the one of Emma with her guitar, if you remake it, make the face a little longer because in the pic her chin ends at almost the second fret and her knuckle is at the third fret and the tip of the fingers end right at the tuner bridge. and try to make the tuner pegs more of the heart shape. but other than that your an amazing artist

oh and tara,
another tip when your drawing big or a lot of things,
take a lot of breaks... its less frustration, and its easier.
(kinda think of it as running...) you dont want to go hours on end
drawing a person, i take like 5 minute breaks... and then draw for like 10 minutes.
