I plan on hitting 8-10 more stores before the deadline though!, there's just SO many around here =P

I hit up four stores. Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, and Target. Other than that, there aren't too many other chains to choose from around here. I sent in my submissions last night via e-mail.

ditto...same basics here as well...we used to have a Tower records about 15 minutes from me but that closed down years ago. I am going to hit up Barnes and Noble, FYE and Borders and then I think I've hit everything that I could - New York is probably the best for finding places that sell CD's!

Well sent mine in last night. Pretty sad showing in some places. Like our K-mart...it goes straight from Sharkira to Ashlee Simpson... Where in the world am I living???????? There are so many great bands taht could go in that space and THAT is all that they offer ::) I just hope the pics will work I had to use my camera phone and well..it sucks.....

ha...one walmart I went to didnt have Sick Puppies Cd's, but they did have a Stopin Tom CD. I didnt know if I should laugh or cry.

So what I've saying is still true. Best Buy is doing a super ace job at having SP, Wal-Mart and Circuity City are doing so-so (though they've only had 1 copy max), and Target's been having none. =[

......that's 15 stores I've hit up so far, and if time allows it, I will try going to at least 3 more by the weekend.

So, we only have two retail stores in town that sell cds, and I haven't had time to go to the surrounding cities and I thought about going to all the gas stations in town as a joke, but none of them have Sick Puppies, they're more into promoting BS and country. Unfortunately, Huskey, 7-11 and Macs all don't sell SP cds, which I think is ridiculous since we earlier found that most of you tend to listen to them in your car, so WHY WOULDN'T THE GAS STATIONS SELL IT!? So I saved camera batteries instead lol

Wal-mart - no copies, however this is where I happened to buy mine, but there was only one and I have no idea if they ever had more copies but they must have, right?


Zellers - no copies


Proof I searched sportin' SP attire and I randomly bought that silly hat while in Walmart. Only $7.97 baby! ;D

MACS!!! oh how i miss that store...we used to have one across the street...then they just got rid of all of them from Quebec. boo.

I'm thinking that walmarts and zellers in Canada are just as shi*ty (:p) as the Future Shops because none of them have them.

Serge... you are so right about Best Buy...every store I've been to has it, and by the looks of it, the ones that you guys have been going to also have it. YAY to best buy!!

I'd go to Macs over 7-11 anyday. They're less busy, have more drink selection and are never out of stock!

Best Buy also appears to have some kind of promotional deal going on with SP being why they've done cd signings at their stores. If they hung out in Future Shops, Zellers or Wal-marts I bet they'd suddenly all have such cd's in stock too .. as long as it was planned beforehand at least.

Also, I didn't know we had Best Buy's in Canada, Sheila.

hmm....maybe the best buys only exist in that special canada that only includes Montreal and Toronto

the strange thing is that I've heard (dont quote me..i have no sources) that Future Shop and Best Buy are owned by the same company?? If that is true....I dont see why they wouldnt have the cd's but like you said...they probably do have some sort of deal.

If only I lived in Canada Toronto or Montreal, than I too could enjoy such american stores.

That is strange though, but I guess they just stock their stores with different things to give variety maybe? I don't know.

Ok. That should be 44 in all. In summary, Best Buy seems to always carry the CD. Barnes & Noble does not and should be targeted. Since Starbucks owns Hear Music and Hear Music carries the CD, perhaps we can convince Starbucks to also carry it. The other chains: Target, Walmart, Borders, and Circuit City are inconsistent. Circuit City is probably the worst.

44 stores? I'd die of happiness if I had that kind of selection
