I have a friend who owns/writes for Metalholic, and a couple years ago he invited me and a guest to the Knitting Factory in Boise, ID. Bobaflex was the head lining band. I was interested in seeing Bobaflex since I had never seen them before. Anyways, one of their opening bands was a band called Atom Smash. One of their albums in particular is called Love is in the missile. Look that album up. I am pretty sure I am a day late and dollar short on this recommendation but I hope it helps! Btw Bobaflex was a pretty good show too.

I am hopelessly in love with Dorothy's debut album ROCKISDEAD. It's ... guh.

I can't believe I never added this to this post, but Ashley. Check out We Are Harlot. I think you would like them. They're funky and upbeat, but simultaneously b.a. Like you. ;)

There's the big name bands like Breaking Benjamin, A7X, Shinedown, Skillet, Three Days Grace...

Ever since I started listening to Octane, I've heard a lot of smaller bands that are amazing.
I Prevail, Adelita's Way, Through Fire, Avatar, Parkway Drive, Devour the Day are some of my favorites. I know I'm missing a bunch: beartooth, bring me the horizon, the possibilities are endless

Crazy is just fine cause I like where I'm going :sp:
