I saw the last movie a few days ago, and unlike many other movie adaptions from books, the Hunger Games series were done very well and very true to the books, I like that :)

I love the movies so much! :D And yeah, they do seem to follow pretty closely.

Good to know about Hunger Games. I haven't read them yet but I do have the books.

Can`t agree here. I love the books, but I absolutely hate the movie. Yes, the plot follows quite fine, but the cast choise <_< Nothing in common, from Jennyfer Lawrence`s well-fed cheeks to Lenny Krawitz as "a green-eyed young man whose close-cropped hair appears to be its natural shade of brown". Long ago when I finished the first book I so wanted a film to be made on it, being sure it would be a great one. And then the vague news appeared that the film would be made in the distant future and I was so excited and so looked forward to it, but when it finally came out I was dissapointed. A lot. And I can`t even force myself to watch the last two parts.

I do know that there's a lot of issue with people that Jennifer Lawrence is too white for the role. That Katniss is supposed to be darker, and this has been a huge criticism on Hollywood. But it's too bad that the movies haven't been good for you. I really need to finish reading the second book. I just keep walking away from them.

I just started a book called Altar of Bones by Philip Carter. Not going to lie... totally judged this book by the cover. I was at a massive book sale at a local library, this one has pretty cool cover art that caught my eye, and it sounded interesting, so we'll see. $1 hardcover... who could pass that up?

Oh, I`ve never heard about it. Personally, I don`t think she is too white, but I`m with those who thinks she is too thick for a starving girl.
And good luck in finishing the book! Really worth reading, isn`t it?

Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn.
Seriously, if you're a Star Wars fan (particularly the original trilogy), and you haven't read some of the alternate universe [old cannon] books, you're seriously missing out. They are soooooooo good!

One book I'm getting into: How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie. I think it has definitely helped me with my people interaction/social skills

I am utterly addicted to Kate Mulgrew's Born With Teeth. Specifically the audio book, which she narrates. It's just .... mindblowing. Highly recommend it.

I just started a graphic novel called Sing No Evil. It's about a rock band with, among other things, a Bear for a drummer and a lead singer with a stutter. It's wonderful.

Finishing Library Of Souls by Ransom Riggs. The whole trilogy about peculiar children is now among my favourite books!

I was finally able to get one without insane high shipping when I was in the states the other week, and was lucky enough to even got a signed copy without realizing it :)
It's easy reading, but the story about how she got to the point in life she is now is very inspiriting, I'm really enjoying it!

I have a huge book collection, including MANY that I haven't read, but I always seem to go back and read the same books over and over. Does anyone else do this?

All the time!

What's the one you've read the most?

I think my current top count is The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley or Tonto and the Lone Ranger Fist Fight in Heaven by Sherman Alexie or The Lord of the Rings ...

Yeah, it's LOTR. lol
