The speech was amazing. I watched it with my parents, I almost cried.. My mom was balling. I am so happy that he won... It feels amazing to know that the first time I voted, my vote went to the right person
Susanna that's really cute you let him hit the red button ! Is that for the electronic voting ?
There were fireworks going off all around Chicago.. I wish I was in Grant Park right now.. Too bad tickets sold out

i'm much more comfortable now. stress is gone. both obama and mclain started out in the middle and went further left and right as the campaigns went along. besides the idea of palin possibly becoming president, here's why i think obama's the right choice.
if mccain won and the democrats rule the house and senate, there would be a stalemate and nothing would get done. unfortunately, that's the nature of the 2 party system right now. since the democrats now hold the legislative and executive branches, they will hopefully now do the right thing for the country, work with the moderates and really affect some needed change. not everyone will be happy but we can get things accomplished.
the flip side is that either everyone goes extreme left and pisses of half the country until the next election or obama splits with the rest of the democrats and there is, once again, a stalemate. i can't imagine that would happen. the democrats can afford to be magnanimous now.
here's to real change and hope for the future.
