SPWC

I just want to know what was your first SP experience was like. I first saw them Oct. 1, 2013. In Orlando at the house of blues. It was amazing they play my favorite song "There's No Going Back"! I told you a little of mine now what is your story?

First was in December of 2009 at the X103.9 Xmas show in San Bernardino California. Went to buy a shirt after their set. They were at the merch booth signing autographs and gave us a Christmas card that had "That Time if year" in it.

I saw the pups live for the first time on May 8th, 2010 -my 13th Birthday - in Portland, Oregon. I had been a fan for about half a year at that point, since first hearing 'Odd One' on the radio. They were the first openers, (before Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, and Nickelback), so they only played four songs...but it was an awesome show! Afterwards I met the band, got photos and autographs, and signed up for the newsletter! That was how I first heard about the World Crew...I joined the forum the September after that, and started learning as much as I could about the band and the World Crew, in hopes of one day becoming an ambassador (I was still 13 at the time). Last year, once I was finally old enough, I applied...and here I am! I've been involved with the WC for over 3 years and I've officially been an ambassador for over a year now...and I wouldn't have even known about the WC if I hadn't gone to that show and signed up for the newsletter! I can truly say that this opportunity has changed my life...and that's one reason why it's so important for the us to have ambassadors...not only to promote the band, but to promote the WC...to bring new people into this amazing family of ours!

Nov. 28th 2007, opening for Evanescence. And then the next day in Moline, IL. I think that was the only time I really fell for an opening band. I usually just want them to be over so I can see the band I went to see!

December 2009 in Cincy Ohio.

December...2nd, 2007. Opening for Evanescence. Front row center on the rail. I was absolutely blown away...A nd the rest is history

August 18, 2008 in St Louis at the Pageant. I was a new fan looking for something to fill the void My Chemical Romance's 2 year hiatus had left in my heart. Me and a few friends went and were dead center rail. I was absolutely blown away, and became an ambassador shortly after.

Oct 12, 2013 in Baltimore! Despite being a fan since I first heard "My World" on the radio, show dates and me dates hadn't overlapped until two weekends ago! Going to university in upstate New York didn't really help, either, but as soon as I heard the Pups would be up in Baltimore, I bought my ticket and reserved a zipcar so I could make the trip up to see them! And oh buddy was it the best decision ever!! Watching the Sick Puppies play live is like a religious experience. Shim is the master of charisma, Mark is mr. arm porn extraordinaire, and Emma is just the incarnation of musical expression. It was the most incredible night of my life, and I can't wait for my next show!!! I hope it can be sooner rather than later!

May 31, 2007...Denver at the Gothic with Resident Hero, Kill Hannah and Flyleaf. I went for kill Hannah and fell in love with Sick Puppies.

August 7th of this year, Poughkeepsie.
I was disgustingly sweaty and my legs were tired but once SP took the stage I forgot all about that

April 27, 2008 at Edgefest in Frisco,Tx. They were by far the best performance of the festival. I was impressed with the energy they put into the show. I had to drive 5 hrs but it was well worth it.

July 4th 2010. Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wi. They played before Halestorm. The stage sucked it always does, so a few people got hurt during the "use people in front of you to balance while you jump" (I've seen lots of bands there over the years at this stage, the bleachers are annoying. If your short everyone in front is standing on the bleachers so you can't see for crap.) Thankfully I was in front. It was great either way.

Mine was Oct. 1, 2013 too.
It was a long waiting line to see them live, but totally worth it.

September 30th 2007. Point fest in St. Louis. I drove three and a half hours to specifically see them. It was hot, that was before they put both side stages on the parking lot so they were on a small stage without much room in front of it and it was packed really crazy. To the point you got drenched with the sweat of the closest 20 people, even in the back, it's not like I was in the pit.

Funny, I thought I was kind of nuts to travel that far to see a band, had no clue I was going to turn into a groupie fanboy. I wouldn't change a thing. Sixty thousand miles and counting.

My first Sick Puppies concert was May 4th, 2013. It was at Carolina Rebellion and it was my firs rock concert. It was one of the best things ever. I remember it was prom night, which I got to miss not like I'm complaining, and one of my friends birthday. I don't think I can ever forget that day. I also can't forget that I had lost my voice for the entire week following that concert.

Oct 21 2009 opening for Shinedown in Orlando at HoB. Im usually not much for the opening bands but thank god I got there to see sp or I wouldn't' be here today and wouldn't know all these wonderful people and made everlasting friendships. i am forever grateful to them for that.

August 15, 2008, New Orleans LA. I was a SP fan, I first heard them on Music Choice and got really interested because they had a girl bass player, so I had bought DUAL around Christmas of the year before. I went to this concert to see another band, but was AMAZED by Sick Puppies! I met them after the show and was so nervous to talk to Emma that I basically ignored Shim & Mark. Saw them again the next day in Tupelo and joined the World Crew shortly after, and became an Ambassador not too long after that.

This is a great thread, I love reading about when everyone first saw them!
